Sustainable Progression Agreements

Lucy McLeod, NALN Progression Manager, Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication
Richard Pyle, Progression and Credit Framework Manager, The Creative Way
Kate Moore, Progression Magnet Coordinator, MOVE

As Lifelong Learning Networks come to the end of their HEFCE-funded phase, what approaches can be used to ensure the sustainability of the progression work and progression agreements that have been developed? A discussion about ways in which this can be achieved will be informed by presentations by progression managers from three different Lifelong Learning Networks who have developed progression agreements in the arts and who are all exploring different strategies to ensure the sustainability of their work.

Richard Pyle talked about the progression agreements developed by the Creative Way and will be focusing on recent work with partner institutions to develop and embed quality assurance procedures to support progression agreements.

Lucy McLeod talked about NALN progression agreements and the collaborative work that is currently taking place with the Creative Way to develop progression agreements from the level 3 Creative and Media Diploma and HE provision across three HEIs.

Kate Moore from MOVE talked about MOVE’s progression agreements and focus on the importance of FE-HE dialogue in developing sustainable progression agreements.
