NALN's major focus was to increase progression for vocational learners, particularly those from under-represented sections of the population. The merger of NALN into ukadia offers a great opportunity to see this widening participation work continue.

Projects were commissioned by NALN to ensure that progression work was based on clear evidence and best practice. These have investigated various stages of the learner journey and developed recommendations for use within NALN and the wider arts education community. They have also developed a range of materials from research reports to web-based learner support materials.

This section acts as an archive for NALN's projects, many of which demonstrate the value of collaboration between member institutions.
