Led by the London College of Communication (University of the Arts London, LCC) and the Arts University College at Bournemouth (AUCB) (formerly The Arts Institute at Bournemouth), the project has been governed jointly.

This project focused on two strands of development that address the identified need to develop the curriculum to accommodate learners from vocational pathways, principally:

1. Top-up degrees which offer progression routes for FdA graduates

2. Graduate Certificate/Diplomas which offer vocationally focused provision for graduates [CPD] and which may also serve as bridging to Master’s qualifications.

The intention was to inform future curriculum development for these learners and to do so we have concentrated on;

• Identifying and evaluating the key curriculum features of current courses and their value to these learners
• Establishing and evaluating profiles of students who were taking these courses and their experience of the provision
• Consideration of regional contexts

Each strand of the project is reporting separately under common headings which encompass the features of the original project plan.
